Job summary

KIDE INTERNATIONAL SDN BHD invites an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee Civil, Structural and Architectural work packages on large EPC projects in Malaysia. You will coordinate safety, QA, scheduling, cost control, subcontractor management and documentation across the project lifecycle.

You will lead meetings, review drawings, issue reports, manage variations and ensure delivery to client requirements while maintaining a collaborative, proactive project team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree/experience combination in construction and/or engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction project management experience.
• Extremely proficient in MS Office.
• Superior interpersonal and facilitation skills enabling motivation and positive team environment.
• Creative and innovative, flexible to changing priorities and capable of embracing change initiatives.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills including experience in writing specifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Civil, Structural and Architectural work packages.
• Manage site safety in coordination with Safety Advisor, including setup and closing of files.
• Oversee Site QA with Project Manager and team, including setup and closeout of files.
• Coordinate Project Schedule with Planner, PMs, Sub-Contractors and Eng/Architect to meet client requirements.
• Control project costs with support from project QS: labor, materials, plant, variations, valuations.
• Manage day-to-day site operations and subcontractor activities with weekly meetings and documentation.
• Maintain up-to-date safety documentation and filing for reference.
• Attend site meetings, reviews, planning, coordination and handover meetings.
• Close out all project items (Final Account, O&M manuals, punch list, safety and QA files).
• Issue daily project reports and weekly safety stats and labor projections.
• Hold weekly commercial meetings to capture variations and costs.

Job description

Manage the co-ordination of the Civil, Structural and Architectural work packages.

Management of Site Safety in conjunction with Safety Advisor, including set up, management of and closing out of file

Management of Site QA in conjunction with Project Manager and team including set up, management and close out of file

Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Planner, Project Managers, Sub-Contractors and consulting Engineer/Architect to Engineering and Client requirements

Management of all costs associated with Project with the support of the project QS including:

Labor

Material

Plant and Equipment

Variations

Valuations

Management of all day to day site operations

Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels. Ensure that there is a weekly minute meeting with sub-contractor.

Ensure all Sub-contractor documentation including safety documentation is maintained up to date and filed for future reference.

Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings

Close out of all project items including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan – all with the Support of your Project team

Issue Daily Report to the Project Manager

Issue weekly safety stats & project labor projections.

Hold weekly commercial meetings with the commercial team to ensure all variations are being captured and costs issued to the client.

Develop and implement company procedures with the project managers

Ensure change management is handled correctly (Cost & Programme).

Review drawings and setting out details

Produce builders works drawings for services

Carry out distribute & close out CSA snags.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or equivalent degree/ experience combination in construction and/or engineering.

Minimum of 5 years of construction project management experience.

Extremely proficient in MS Office.

Superior interpersonal and demonstrated facilitation skills, including the ability to motivate and influence others, build effective interpersonal relationships, and be able to foster and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.

Creative and innovative with assignments. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in work style to better respond to multiple requests/tasks and handle sudden changes in priorities. Able to embrace and participate in change initiatives.

Strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills, including solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications.
