Job summary

Lucky Best Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a capable site professional with a Civil & Structural engineering background to oversee construction progress, verify plans, and prepare technical documentation. You will coordinate drawings, liaise with consultants and clients, and supervise subcontractors on project delivery.

Role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of relevant civil/structural construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings.
• Budgeting, cost control, and material management.
• Strong time management and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track construction progress against the approved project programme and report deviations or delays.
• Review and verify plans, drawings, quantities, and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including method statements, material submissions, shop drawings, and related documents.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain site reports, progress updates, records, and other required documentation.
• Coordinate drawings, design revisions, and technical documentation for submission and approval by consultants and clients.
• Work closely with subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications and schedules.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams on technical and project-related matters.
• Review and verify work progress claims, invoices, variation orders, and related supporting documents.
• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring site construction activities.
• Assist in cost control and budget monitoring, including identifying opportunities to optimize resources and reduce unnecessary costs.
• Support and monitor QA/QC and safety compliance at the project site.
• Monitor and coordinate the allocation of project resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Attend project and site meetings and provide relevant technical input and updates.
• Identify and recommend improvements to work processes, efficiency, and safety practices on site.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical and site-related issues to minimise disruption to project progress.

Job description

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification.

Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in civil and structural construction projects.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, technical drawings, and project coordination.

Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.

Strong ability to work independently, take initiative, and identify and resolve project-related issues.

Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team coordination skills.

Adaptable, willing to learn, and able to take on new responsibilities as required.
