Job summary

VHR Consultancy in Malaysia seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead electrical engineering construction projects on site. You will plan, schedule, and oversee all aspects of execution, acting as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

You will enforce quality, health, safety, and environmental standards, monitor progress, and drive projects to meet time and budget targets through effective leadership and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of project management experience in construction.
• Strong business acumen in project planning and management.
• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all construction works to meet specifications and standards.
• Schedule and plan detailed construction activities; conduct technical reviews with consultants and management.
• Closely monitor and review all engineering works on site.
• Monitor progress and update the project schedule accurately.
• Attend client, consultants, and subcontractors meetings; highlight engineering issues.
• Submit daily and monthly reports to internal and external teams.
• Ensure compliance with CIDB/JKR building requirements and Best Known Methods.

Job description

The ideal candidate for this position will provide project management for planning, and organizing all aspects of the task related to the relevant projects. As part of this role, the manager will have to oversee the works of his peers acting as the point of contact to handle any issues regarding the project.

Responsibilities

• To manage and coordinate all construction works at site are completed according to the specifications and standards required.
• Responsible for scheduling, planning in detail of the construction works and conducting the technical review of the projects with consultant and higher management.
• Close monitor and review all engineering works at site.
• Monitor work progress and at the same time updating the project schedule accurately.
• Attend and participate in all client consultants and sub-contractors meeting and highlight engineering problems of the sites.
• Submit daily and monthly report to both internal and external team.
• Familiar with building & structure requirements from authorities like CIDB & JKR
• Practical knowledge on “Best known Method” for construction or Solar Industry
• To contribute, comply and committed toward the company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management System by making sure it is full compliances to International Standard, Legal compliances, local regulations, and any code of practice.

• Possess more than 10 years of working experiences. Proven work experiences especially in Project Management portfolio.
• Strong business acumen in project planning and management
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
• Detailed oriented and able to manage and lead projects with minimum supervisions.
• Able to travel to site frequently. LSS sites are located mostly in northern regions.
