Dwisolar Sdn Bhd is seeking a Construction Manager to lead on-site fire protection projects in Shah Alam, coordinating with the Project Manager and main contractors. You will manage manpower, schedules, safety, and quality to deliver milestones on time and within budget.

The role requires 5–8 years of supervision experience, familiarity with NFPA standards, and working knowledge of fire protection components. This is an on-site position with heavy coordination across teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Building/Construction Management, or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of direct site supervision and construction management experience within fire protection, MEP services, or general construction environments.
• Working knowledge of core NFPA standards.
• Comprehensive understanding of fire protection system components and site safety procedures.
• Basic knowledge of scheduling tools and reading structural/MEP blueprints and BIM/CAD drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, manage, and enforce daily and weekly site look-ahead work schedules.
• Supervise and direct daily site construction activities with direct labor, foremen, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate site access, fronts, staging areas, and crane schedules with Main Contractor and client representatives.
• Review shop drawings, isometric layouts, and builder's work details prior to field installation.
• Manage on-site material logistics to ensure timely call-out and staging of piping, sprinklers, pumps, and cabling.
• Ensure all works comply with approved Method Statements, risk assessments, and engineered layouts.
• Work with QA/QC to pass routine inspections and ensure safety with EHS protocols.
• Monitor third-party subcontractors and track progress against billing and quality standards.
• Record daily progress and productivity, reporting to the Project Manager.

The Construction Manager plays a pivotal operational and supervisory role in directing, coordinating, and executing all on-site construction activities for the fire systems company. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this role leads day-to-day site operations across active project locations—ranging from commercial sprinkler networks and clean agent suppression systems to complex industrial detection frameworks. The primary mandate of this role is to drive daily field execution, manage site resources, enforce project schedules, and bridge project engineering plans with physical installation. By maintaining strict control over manpower, site safety, productivity, and coordination with main contractors, the Construction Manager ensures that project milestones are achieved on time, within budget, and in strict accordance with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

Develop, manage, and enforce daily and weekly site look-ahead work schedules in alignment with the master project baseline set by the Project Manager.

Supervise and direct daily site construction activities, ensuring productive deployment of direct labor, foremen, and specialized subcontractors.

Coordinate site access, work fronts, staging areas, and crane lifting/material hoisting schedules with the Main Contractor and client representatives.

Review approved shop drawings, isometric layouts, and builder's work details prior to field installation to proactively identify site spatial clashes and constructability issues.

Manage on-site material logistics, ensuring timely call-out and staging of pipe networks, valves, sprinkler heads, pumps, and cabling to avoid site downtime.

Ensure all site works comply strictly with approved Method Statements, risk assessments, and engineered layout details.

Work in close coordination with the QA/QC team to ensure works pass routine site inspections, hydrostatic pressure tests, and authority inspections without rework.

Enforce site Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies, ensuring safe rigging/lifting practices, hot work permits, working at height protocols, and proper PPE compliance across all work teams.

Monitor and manage third-party installation subcontractors, verifying work progress against billing applications and enforcing quality and productivity standards.

Track daily work progress, labor productivity logs, equipment utilization, and site delays, providing structured updates to the Project Manager.

About you

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Building/Construction Management, or equivalent discipline.

Minimum 5–8 years of direct site supervision and construction management experience within fire protection, MEP services, or general construction environments.

Working knowledge of core NFPA standards.

Comprehensive understanding of fire protection system components (sprinkler piping, pump sets, clean agent gas systems, fire alarm infrastructure).

Familiarity with site safety regulations, lifting operations, and working‑at‑height frameworks.

Basic knowledge of scheduling tools and reading structural/MEP blueprints and BIM/CAD drawings.

Strong practical knowledge of rigging, crane hand signals, heavy lifting math (load weight/angles), and site safety procedures.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and navigate active construction environments.
