Job summary

G-Tek Electronics is seeking a Network Engineer to design and manage our networking environment across Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms in Penang, Malaysia. The role involves configuring routing, switches, IP voice services, and firmware upgrades, while providing remote support during installations.

The ideal candidate is a fresh graduate or has 1–3 years of related experience, with strong communication to liaise with customers for initial requirements.

Qualifications

• Master or Degree in Computer/Networking Engineering.
• Fresh Graduate or 1–3 years of related experience.
• Experience across Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish networking environment by designing system configuration and documenting standards.
• Maximize network performance by monitoring, troubleshooting, and upgrading as needed.
• Investigate data network faults in local and wide environments using multiple sources.
• Upgrade data network equipment to latest firmware.
• Configure routing and switching for PROD to testing.
• Configure hosted IP voice services.
• Provide remote support to on-site engineers and users during installation.
• Remote troubleshooting and fault finding after installation.
• Capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices in data centers.
• Liaise with customers via email and phone for initial requirement capture.
