Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Company Secretary to join our dynamic team at ED Zone Management Sdn Bhd. This role plays a vital part in supporting the Company Secretary to ensure smooth operations and full compliance with Malaysian corporate laws and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Company Secretary in all corporate secretarial functions in accordance with the Malaysian Companies Act and other relevant legislation.

Maintain and update statutory records, registers, and minute books accurately.

Coordinate and assist in Board and Shareholders’ Meetings, including preparing meeting agendas, notices, minutes, and resolutions.

Ensure timely filing and lodgement of statutory documents with SSM and other authorities.

Liaise with clients, directors, auditors, and regulators on secretarial matters.

Prepare and handle incorporation, changes to company information, share transfers, and related filings.

Provide administrative and compliance support to the Company Secretary as required.

Requirements

Candidates with a Diploma or Degree in Business Studies, Administration, Management, or equivalent are encouraged to apply. Professional certifications will be an added advantage.

Good understanding of Company Law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.

ICSA qualification (or currently pursuing) is an added advantage.

Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients).

Strong attention to detail, organisational, and time management skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Proactive, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Willing to travel when required.
