Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a kitchen staff to ensure food is prepared and served to standard, and to manage mise-en-place and staff canteen meals. The role requires attention to quality and cleanliness in a busy kitchen environment.

The ideal candidate has a culinary certificate or diploma (or equivalent) and SPM qualifications. Fresh graduates are welcome, and 1–2 years of kitchen experience is advantageous. This is an on-site kitchen position with opportunities to grow.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all food is prepared and served according to the standard set by the chef.
• Ensure mise-en-place is prepared and food for staff canteen.
• Keep machines, equipment and utensils clean and in working condition; monitor sanitation and hygiene.
• Perform any duties directed by the Executive Chef.

Job description

1. Ensure that all food is prepared and served accordingly to the standard set by the chef.

2. To ensure all mise-en place is prepared and to prepared food for staff canteen.

3. Make sure that all machines, equipments and utensils are clean in working condition at all time. Check all area assigned in regards to sanitation and hygiene contamination of any kind.

4. To perform any duties directed by the Executive Chef.

Requirements:

SPM, Professional Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent. Fresh graduates are welcome.

Advantage if have one or two years of kitchen experience.
