Job summary

ibis Styles Johor Iskandar Puteri is seeking a hotel service associate to ensure food is served to specification and to demonstrate awareness of basic food handler control. You will work flexible hours based on occupancy and events, monitor wastages, and assist stewards with washing pots, pans, plates, chinaware and glassware.

You will interact professionally with all hotel departments to foster rapport and teamwork, and you may be assigned other duties by the Head Chef as needed in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar capacity.
• Good spoken and written English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Ability to understand basic cooking principles.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• To ensure all food is served to specification and demonstrate awareness of basic food handler control.
• Require to work flexible working hours in view of the hotel occupancy and functions when required by the Head Chef.
• Controls wastages and reports all wastages to the Head Chef.
• To assist the stewards in washing pots, pans, plates, chinaware and glass ware.
• Interact with department and hotel staff in a professional and positive manner to foster good rapport, promote team spirit and ensure effective two ways communication.
• Any other duties and responsibilities as and when directly by the superior as deemed necessary, relevant and related in the course of work.
