Job summary

ibis Styles Johor Iskandar Puteri is seeking a Kitchen Steward to support the busy hotel kitchen, ensuring food handling standards and assisting with pots, pans, chinaware and glass ware in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum 1 year experience in a similar capacity, with good English and Bahasa Melayu, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic setting. Attractive benefits and opportunities to grow within the Accor network are offered.

Qualifications

• At least1 year experience in a similar capacity.
• Good spoken and written English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Ability to understand basic cooking priciples.
• Ability to work independently and has good initiative under dynamic environment, self-motivated and energetic person.

Responsibilities

• To ensure all food is served to specification and demonstrate the awareness of basic food handler control.
• Require towork flexible working hours in view of the hotel occupancy and functions when required by the Head Chef.
• Controls wastages and reports all wastages to the Head Chef.
• To assist the stewards in washing pots, pans, plates, chinaware and glass ware.
• Interact with department and hotel staff in a professional and positive manner to foster good rapport, promote team spirit and ensure effective two ways communication.
• Any other duties and responsibilitiesas and when directly by the superior as deemed necessary, relevant and related in the course of work.
