Job summary

Bridge Data Centres Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks a Mid-Level Commercial Operations Counsel to provide day-to-day legal support for expanding data center operations. The role emphasizes government relations, regulatory monitoring, and core customer/commercial contracts across the project lifecycle.

You will draft and negotiate MSAs, SLAs, and data center-related agreements while coordinating with GR and external advisors; English fluency is required for cross-border collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law or above.
• 4-6 years of relevant legal experience at law firm or in-house counsel.
• Experience in data centers, telecommunications, infrastructure, or real estate development is preferred.
• Proven ability to independently draft and review legal documentation and commercial contracts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to manage cross-departmental alignment and external stakeholders.
• Full professional fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documentation involving government authorities, public utilities, and strategic partners (MOUs, LOIs, concession agreements, development frameworks).
• Collaborate with the Government Affairs team to prepare regulatory submissions, policy responses, and official letters.
• Provide legal support for site acquisition, land leasing, and utility easements and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with internal M&A counsels and external advisors during due diligence, closing, and post-closing integration for data center assets.
• Study licensing, environmental and zoning permits, safety approvals, and certifications across all development stages.
