Job summary

Hydron in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a qualified corporate lawyer to draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, NDAs, vendor and distribution contracts, payment gateway and technology arrangements. You will ensure accuracy and consistency across documents.

You will maintain contract templates, playbooks and data protection related materials, coordinate with Commercial, Finance, Product, Payments and Operations teams, and support litigation, corporate secretarial matters and trademark work

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognised university; Malaysian Bar admission preferred.
• Minimum one year of post-qualification experience in a law firm; in-house experience welcomed.
• Hands-on experience reviewing and drafting commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

• Review, mark up and draft commercial agreements, including NDAs, vendor and supplier agreements, distribution and reseller agreements, payment gateway and service agreements, platform and technology agreements, amendments, side letters, LOIs and MOUs.
• Maintain and contribute to contract templates, playbooks and standard clause library.
• Liaise with Commercial, Finance, Product, Payments and Operations teams to obtain inputs for reviews.
• Support compliance with data protection laws; draft data processing agreements and data sharing arrangements.
• Maintain the contract register and track renewal, expiry, and termination dates; ensure version control.
• Support litigation, corporate secretarial matters, trademark registrations and brand protection.
• Conduct legal research and prepare status updates for management.
