Job summary

GAMER2GAMER SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lumpur seeks a lawyer to review and draft commercial agreements, including NDAs, vendor and distributor contracts, and data protection agreements.

You will maintain templates and clause libraries, liaise with cross-functional teams, and support litigation and corporate secretarial duties. Requirements include an LL.B, Malaysian Bar admission preferred, 1+ year PQE, and strong English with Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia as advantages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognised university.
• Admission to the Malaysian Bar, or admission in another common law jurisdiction, is preferred.
• Minimum one year of post-qualification experience gained in a law firm.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience reviewing and drafting commercial agreements.
• Working knowledge of data protection law, especially PDPA 2010.
• Strong written and spoken English; Mandarin Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is a significant advantage.
• Comfortable using contract management systems and AI-assisted legal tools for research, review and drafting.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes with tight deadlines.
• Genuine interest in gaming, digital goods, e-commerce or online marketplaces is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review, mark up and draft commercial agreements including NDAs and vendor contracts.
• Maintain and contribute to templates, playbooks and clause library.
• Liaise with Commercial, Finance, Product, Payments and Operations teams to gather inputs.
• Support compliance with PDPA 2010 and cross-border data transfer provisions.
• Assist with data subject requests, DPIAs and breach triage.
• Maintain contract register, track renewals, and ensure version control.
• Support litigation, corporate secretarial matters and trademark procedures.
• Conduct legal research across Malaysian and regional law; prepare management updates.
• Undertake ad hoc legal matters as assigned.
