Job summary

Naue Asia Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a capable Legal & Compliance professional to manage contracts and regulatory documentation. You will draft, review and negotiate routine agreements, ensuring alignment with Malaysian law and corporate templates.

Engage with the Group Legal Counsel on high-risk matters, support data protection records, and coordinate with the Company Secretary for board matters. This role requires integrity, independence and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in contracts and compliance.
• Ability to draft and review contracts in accordance with Malaysian laws and business practices.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Law; LLB or equivalent is an advantage.
• Independent, structured and reliable working style with sound judgement on when to escalate.
• High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate routine commercial contracts, agreements and correspondence based on Group templates.
• Support compliance with Malaysian statutory requirements (Contracts Act, Companies Act) and internal policies.
• Review and ensure accuracy of Directors’ Circular Resolutions and board papers; coordinate with Company Secretary and external parties.
• Coordinate applications, renewals and correspondence for permits, licences and regulatory requirements; manage insurance policies and claims.
• Provide general administrative and legal support to MD, Group Legal Counsel and others; assist on ad-hoc tasks.
