Job summary

Movon Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia seeks an Assistant Manager of Collection & Recovery to lead the collections team, analyze performance against budgets and KPIs, and design regional strategies to improve recovery rates.

You will manage overdue accounts, guide asset recovery efforts, and report regularly to management. The role requires a degree and leadership abilities; prior Rent-To-Own collections or credit analysis experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a degree in any discipline.
• Experience with Rent-To-Own collections, instalment-based payments, or credit analysis preferred.
• Possess leadership attributes or abilities to deal and manage well with subordinates.
• Able to make decision strategically for medium and long-term planning.
• Strong sense of responsibility, accountability, and teamwork.
• Able to work independently with high self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Performance Analytics: Monitor and analyse performance against budgets and KPIs, making strategic adjustments to optimize outcomes.
• Strategic Oversight: Design and implement customized action plans tailored to regions, product types, and customer segments to improve recovery rates.
• Collection Management: Actively manage all stages of overdue accounts to achieve performance targets.
• Asset Recovery: Manage repossession processes and be conversant with legal proceedings to ensure effective asset recovery.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare regular reports (daily, weekly, monthly) to support management decisions.
• Process Improvement: Foster initiatives to improve workflows, policies, and processes to reduce delinquency and improve efficiencies.
• People Management: Lead, mentor, and develop staff within the collection team; liaise with external partners to support recovery efforts.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies related to debt collection.
