Job summary

OCBC Bank in Malaysia is hiring a Collections Associate to recover outstanding accounts and monitor portfolios. You will perform collection calls, set follow-ups, and negotiate repayment plans.

The role requires a diploma/degree in Business or Finance, 1–3 years in collections or banking, and strong communication, Excel, and analytical skills. You will work with internal teams to ensure compliance and report on performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business, Finance or related field.
• 1–3 years in collections, recovery or customer service.
• Able to work under pressure and meet targets.
• Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform collection activities to recover outstanding accounts.
• Monitor portfolio and follow up on delinquent accounts.
• Achieve individual collection KPIs and targets.
• Handle customer enquiries and negotiate repayment plans.
• Review repayment capacity and recommend recovery actions.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders on delinquent accounts.
• Escalate complex cases to supervisor as required.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and update systems timely.
• Assist in reporting and tracking collection performance.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and projects.
• Perform other duties assigned by Management.
