Job summary

Pivotal Systems – Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah, is seeking a CNC Machinist/Operator to set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines and related equipment. You will read engineering drawings, load materials, and ensure efficient production with attention to quality and safety.

You will interpret work orders, adjust offsets, perform inspections with precision instruments, and maintain records in a 5S environment. Prior CNC experience is a plus and safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in machining or related field.
• Reading engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Basic knowledge of precision measuring instruments and quality inspection.
• Experience operating CNC machines is a plus.
• Commitment to safety and 5S.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines and related equipment.
• Load raw materials and unload finished components safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders.
• Select and install the appropriate tools, fixtures, and offsets for machining operations.
• Monitor machine performance to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Measure and inspect parts using precision instruments.
• Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and report machine, tooling, or production issues.
• Maintain accurate production records and quality documentation.
• Comply with safety policies and 5S principles.

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines and related equipment.

Load raw materials and unload finished components safely and efficiently.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders.

Select and install the appropriate tools, fixtures, and offsets for machining operations.

Monitor machine performance throughout production cycles to ensure quality and efficiency.

Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring instruments.

Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Identify, troubleshoot, and report machine, tooling, or production issues.

Make minor program adjustments, including offset changes and tool wear compensation.

Maintain accurate production records and quality documentation.

Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S principles.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

Requirements:

• Diploma, ITI, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Machining, Automation, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
• Prior experience in operating CNC machines will be an added advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Basic knowledge of precision measuring instruments and quality inspection methods.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to workplace safety.
