Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a CNC operator to manufacture parts per specifications. You will set up machines, load programs, and adjust offsets while reading drawings and ensuring dimensional accuracy.

In-process inspections with calipers, micrometers, and gauges will support quality control, with collaboration across supervisors, engineers, and quality teams to meet targets. Overtime and shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma, certificate, or technical training in machining, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Proven experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming concepts (G-code understanding is an advantage).
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and use precision measuring tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required.
• Good discipline, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines (e.g., milling, turning, grinding) to manufacture parts according to specifications.
• Perform machine setup, including loading programs, setting tools, and adjusting offsets as required.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Conduct in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Identify and report machine malfunctions, tooling issues, or quality deviations.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, tool changes, and routine machine maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, housekeeping standards, and SOPs.
• Accurately record production data, inspection results, and downtime reports.
• Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and quality teams to meet production targets.
