Job summary

PARADIGM METAL INDUSTRIES SDN. BHD.

is seeking a CNC Programmer to develop, write, and refine CNC programs from engineering drawings and specifications for die casting, precision stamping, and sheet metal components. You will set up machines, interpret drawings and GD&T, optimize tool paths, perform simulations and first-piece checks, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve machining efficiency while adhering to safety and quality

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and GD&T is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and modify CNC programs based on engineering drawings and specifications.
• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce components meeting required dimensions and quality standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Select tooling, parameters, and tool paths to ensure efficient production.
• Perform simulations, trial runs, and first-piece inspections to verify accuracy.
• Troubleshoot CNC programming, machining, and tooling issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve processes and productivity.
• Optimise CNC programs to reduce cycle time, material waste, and production costs.
• Ensure machined parts meet quality requirements and production schedules.

Job description

Develop, write, and modify CNC programs for machining operations based on engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Set up and operate CNC machines to produce components according to required dimensions and quality standards.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.

Select appropriate cutting tools, machining parameters, and tool paths to ensure efficient production.

Perform program simulations, trial runs, and first-piece inspections to verify machining accuracy.

Troubleshoot CNC programming, machining, and tooling issues, and implement corrective actions.

Work closely with the Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve machining processes and productivity.

Optimise CNC programs to reduce cycle time, material waste, and production costs.

Ensure all machined parts meet specified quality requirements and production schedules.

Maintain CNC programs, tooling records, and relevant production documentation.

Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping at the workstation.

Job Requirements

Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in CNC Machining, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in CNC programming and machining.

Proficient in reading engineering drawings and understanding GD&T is an advantage.

Familiar with CNC programming using G-code and M-code.

Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidCAM, or equivalent is an advantage.

Knowledge of CNC milling, turning, machining processes, cutting tools, and machining parameters.

Able to troubleshoot machining problems and perform basic machine setup.

Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Willing to work overtime or shifts when required by production needs.
