Job summary

Ortho Solutions Sdn. Bhd. in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a skilled CNC Milling, Turning and Wirecut Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team.

You will operate mills, lathes and wirecut machines, read engineering drawings, and ensure products meet quality and 5S standards. The role requires the ability to work in a 3-crew shift pattern, diligence in documentation, and willingness to overtime when needed.

Job description

CNC Milling,Turning adn Wirecut Machinist

- Perform all machining operations based on Set up sheet, Job router, Inspection Plan and QMS document in order to deliver quality products.
- Ensure that the reqular maintenance is conducted in a planned and timely manner, provide all required work and maintenance reporting to superior in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform adjustment on insert or cutter by offsetting or change new cutter.
- Perform first piece inspection after tool change for affected dimension.
- Read and understand applicable document in order to measure the work piece as per expected measuring technique.
- Able to operate multiple machines if the cycle time for each machine is long.
- Responsible for keeping the machines and surrounding areas clean and tidy (5S) and working correctly on the shift basis.
- Bar end/ off cut /defect material must be disposed as per QMS requirements and it is not allow to keep in the bin of good product.
- All tools, cutter, measurement equipment and material keep in the organized and proper area to prevent missing, damage and dropping or heavy scratches on the parts.
- Follow work instruction from superior and able to complete the task on time. ( as per cycle time or target assigned)
- Sets-up mills/lathes/wirecut by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.
- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Protect and re-use used cutter in order to encourage cost saving and minimize wastage in the production.
- Provide guidance and basic training to machine operator on machining knowledge and skill

Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Good attitude and able to work independently.

Candidate must be hardworking, willing to learn and responsible.

Applicant must be willing to work in 3 Crew shift.

Able to work overtime if necessary.

Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling small/sensitive parts.
