Bucher Hydraulics (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate CNC milling machines safely and efficiently, ensuring correct tooling, machine parameters and work holding meet engineering drawings and quality standards.
You will read drawings, set up tooling, perform tool changes and measurements, and conduct in-process and final inspections to verify dimensions. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and willingness to work overtime as needed to meet targets.
To operate and set up CNC milling machines safely and efficiently, ensuring the correct tooling, machine parameters and work holding are applied to produce parts according to engineering drawings, specifications and required quality standards.
Operate CNC milling machines according to production requirements and work instructions.
Set up machines, work holding fixtures, cutting tools and tooling according to engineering drawings and machining requirements.
Perform tool changes, tool adjustments and offset corrections to maintain machining accuracy.
Read and understand engineering drawings, work instructions and machining specifications.
Perform in-process and final inspection using vernier caliper, micrometer and other measuring instruments.
Ensure machined parts meet specified dimensions and quality requirements.
Identify machining defects, tooling issues and abnormal machine conditions, and report them to the Production Leader/Supervisor.
Maintain proper machine settings and ensure production is carried out safely and efficiently.
Complete production and inspection records accurately.
Maintain good housekeeping and follow 5S, safety and company procedures.
Minimum SPM / SKM / Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Machining, Manufacturing or a related technical field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC machining, preferably CNC milling.
Able to perform CNC machine setup, tooling changes and machine adjustments.
Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
Able to use basic measuring instruments such as vernier caliper and micrometer.
Good knowledge of cutting tools, machining processes and CNC operation.
Able to troubleshoot basic machining and tooling problems.
Good attention to detail and strong commitment to quality.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Willing to work overtime when required.
