Job summary

NTT DATA seeks a Level 2 Cloud Support Engineer to provide Mandarin-speaking technical support for Google Cloud Platform environments across the Asia Pacific region. You will manage GCP services, troubleshoot incidents, and perform RCA to implement corrective actions.

Documentation and runbooks will be created to support ongoing operations. The role requires strong knowledge of Linux, networking, Kubernetes, IAM, and cloud security, plus proficiency in Mandarin and English for effective customer

Qualifications

• 4+ years of cloud infrastructure or support experience.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration, networking, Kubernetes, IAM, and cloud security.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
• Fluent Mandarin (Simplified Chinese) and English; ability to explain technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and VPC Networking.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
• Escalate complex issues to L3 engineers or Google support as needed.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
• Communicate with Mandarin-speaking customers via phone, email, and virtual meetings.

Role Overview

Provide Level 2 technical support and operational management for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments, serving Mandarin-speaking customers and stakeholders across the Asia Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support GCP services, including: Compute Engine
• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Cloud Storage
• Cloud SQL
• VPC Networking
• IAM & Security Services
• Troubleshoot production incidents and service disruptions.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Operations Suite (formerly Stackdriver).
• Escalate complex issues to L3 engineers or Google support when required.
• Support cloud migration, deployment, and optimization activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
• Communicate with Mandarin-speaking customers via phone, email, and virtual meetings.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of cloud infrastructure or support experience.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of: Linux administration, Networking (DNS, TCP/IP, Load Balancers, Firewalls), Kubernetes and container technologies, IAM and cloud security concepts, Incident and problem management processes, Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Terraform).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
• Language Requirements: Fluent Mandarin (Simplified Chinese) and English. Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with Mandarin-speaking customers and internal teams.
