Job summary

StarHub is seeking a Principal CRM Engineer to define and evolve the architecture of its core CRM and Order Management platforms powering customer onboarding, sales journeys and fulfilment. You will drive platform modernization, architectural standardization, and system reliability across microservices, data, APIs and orchestration.

Qualifications

• Senior-level software engineering with emphasis on architecture and large‑scale distributed systems.
• Experience in CRM/OM/BSS or related enterprise domains is preferred.
• Proven ability to design, evolve, and operate enterprise platforms.
• Expertise in microservices, API design, data architecture, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on track record of platform modernization and cloud-native transformations.

Responsibilities

• Define and own end‑to‑end architecture of CRM/OM platforms across modules.
• Establish architectural principles, standards, and service contracts across domains.
• Design and optimize workflow orchestration for order lifecycles.
• Drive scalability and performance by addressing bottlenecks in APIs, databases, and workflows.
• Govern data architecture with consistent data flow across systems.
• Set API/integration standards including versioning and idempotency.
• Lead modernization efforts, migrating legacy systems to cloud‑native architecture.
• Reduce technical debt through modularization and standardization of services.
• Define observability and reliability strategies with proactive monitoring.
• Collaborate with DevOps to build scalable cloud‑native solutions (Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC).
• Act as technical authority in design decisions and architecture reviews.
• Mentor engineers on system design and debugging techniques.
• Influence cross‑functional teams to adopt engineering best practices.
• Work with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and vendors to ensure end‑to‑end delivery.
