Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development or software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience developing backend applications or APIs using at least one modern programming language and framework.
• Good understanding of RESTful API design, HTTP fundamentals, request validation, authentication, and error handling.
• Working knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Willingness to learn and work with Python and PHP/Laravel-based backend systems.
• Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Backend development: Build, maintain, and improve backend applications, services, and RESTful APIs for existing products.
• System design: Contribute to API design, service architecture, and technical decisions with an emphasis on readable, maintainable, and reliable solutions.
• Database development: Design and maintain relational database schemas, queries, and migrations; investigate and improve query performance when needed.
• Integrations: Develop and troubleshoot integrations between internal services and third-party APIs, including error handling and data consistency.
• Code quality and testing: Write clear, maintainable, documented code; participate in code reviews and add appropriate unit or integration tests.
• Deployment collaboration: Work with infrastructure engineers to deploy and maintain backend services in cloud-based and containerized environments.
• Performance and reliability: Identify bottlenecks and improve API efficiency, scalability, fault handling, and system reliability.
