Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a Backend Developer (Python/Node.js) to join our remote team. You will design, build, and deploy scalable backend services powering fintech solutions, collaborating across product and DevOps.

The role emphasizes cloud deployment on AWS/Azure/GCP, RESTful APIs, databases, containers, and CI/CD pipelines. You will write clean code, perform reviews, and maintain systems in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/IT or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience designing and building backend systems in Python and/or Node.js.
• Proven cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
• Familiar with Docker and Kubernetes containerization.
• Experience with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.

About the role

We are seeking a talented Backend Developer (Python/Node.js) – Cloud Deployment to our Team Remotely from Malaysia. This is a full-time position that will be pivotal in developing and maintaining our cloud-based backend infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in designing, building, and deploying scalable backend services that power our financial technology solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies whilst contributing to the strategic growth of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using Python and/or Node.js
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices to support front-end applications and third-party integrations
• Implement database solutions and optimise queries for improved system performance
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in production and development environments
• Participate in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline development and improvement
• Monitor application performance and implement optimisations to enhance reliability and speed

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in Python and/or Node.js with strong understanding of backend development principles
• Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Solid knowledge of RESTful API design and development
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL and NoSQL)
• Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
