Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a patient services receptionist to register patients, manage appointments, and handle inquiries with professionalism. You will help maintain smooth patient flow, assist in billing, and coordinate with clinic staff to ensure timely care.

All duties require confidentiality, adherence to SOPs, and a proactive approach to 5S and safety initiatives within a busy hospital reception.

Qualifications

• Registration of patients with complete and accurate details.
• Ability to manage appointments, including walk-ins, professionally.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with SOPs and policies.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately in the system and ensure all details are complete.
• Schedule, reschedule, and manage patient appointments, including walk-in cases.
• Answer phone calls, WhatsApp, and inquiries professionally and promptly.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and assist in reducing waiting time.
• Inform patients of any changes, delays, or doctor availability.
• Prepare and manage patient records, forms, and documentation.
• Assist in billing processes and ensure accurate payment collection.
• Verify patient details, including insurance/guarantee letters where applicable.
• Coordinate with consultants, clinic assistants, and other departments (lab, radiology, pharmacy).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception and waiting area.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times.
• Comply with hospital policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in 5S, quality improvement, and safety initiatives.
