Job summary

MY Clinic in Malaysia is seeking a Medical Assistant to manage daily counter operations, scheduling and appointments, and to greet patients with friendly, professional service. You will provide primary nursing care, monitor patient conditions, report findings to doctors, administer medications per orders, and respond to emergencies.

Qualifying with a Diploma or degree in Nursing/ Medical Assistant, at least two years in an ED, and strong interpersonal and clinical skills is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Nursing/ Medical Assistant is required.
• Minimum of two years in the emergency department.
• Experience operating equipment and performing procedures.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care and support to patients.
• Observe and monitor patient conditions for changes.
• Communicate observations to doctors for timely decisions.
• Administer medications according to doctors’ instructions.
• Handle scheduling, appointments and counter operations.
• Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care when needed.

Job description

In charge of daily counter operations, ensuring efficient and friendly service.

Handle and manage scheduling and appointments effectively.

Answer and receive calls, and attend to customer inquiries professionally.

Providing primary nursing care and support to patients

Monitor a patient's condition closely for any signs of improvement or deterioration.

To observe and interpret their symptoms and convey these observations to doctors.

Giving the best care and advice based on their assessment of the patients' needs.

Provide immediate medical care in emergencies or crisis situations.

To check what medication patients, require and administer it to them according to the doctor's instructions.

To communicate and discuss a patient's progress and response to treatment with doctors.

Providing patients and their families with information about disease prevention and rehabilitation techniques.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Nursing/ Medical Assistant

Experienced in a specific type of ward or department.

Minimum of two years of experience in the emergency department

Experienced in operating certain equipment and performing particular procedures

Clinical skills when assessing, diagnosing and caring for patients.

Strong interpersonal communication skills.
