Job summary

Allianz Malaysia is seeking a Marine Claims professional to conduct comprehensive assessment, investigation and management of marine claims, including policy coverage, liability assessment and settlements. You will collaborate with surveyors, brokers and other stakeholders to ensure fair, timely resolutions while maintaining reserves and compliance.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline; insurance or maritime-related qualifications are an advantage.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; prior insurance or claims experience is beneficial.

• Assess and manage Marine Claims by reviewing notifications, documents and policy terms.
• Coordinate with surveyors, adjusters, brokers and stakeholders for timely resolution.
• Review survey reports and docs to assess liability and quantum.
• Establish and maintain accurate claim reserves per internal guidelines.
• Process settlements and ensure timely closure of claims.
• Pursue recovery opportunities against responsible third parties where applicable.
• Monitor outstanding claims and follow up on pending documentation and recovery actions.
• Respond to enquiries and provide timely updates on claim progress.

• Review survey reports and supporting documentation and other relevant information to assess liability and quantum.
• Establish and maintain accurate claim reserves in accordance with internal guidelines.
• Process claim settlements and ensure timely closure of claims.
• Identify and pursue recovery opportunities against responsible third parties where applicable.
• Monitor outstanding claims and follow up on pending documentation, reports and recovery actions

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline. Candidates with qualifications in Insurance, Law, or Maritime-related fields will have an added advantage.
