Job summary

TMK Chemical Bhd. is seeking a Project Lead to organize and drive civil and structural projects at our Banting site. You will lead schedule reviews, manage procurement, and support commissioning and start-up of a new plant, while ensuring HSE compliance and timely delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil & Structural engineering, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience. Strong communication and drawing-reading skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree inEngineering with Civil & Structural knowledge is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Civil & Structural.
• Ability to negotiate and influence for positive outcomes.
• Able to read and understand Civil & Structural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead project/programs and conduct schedule reviews to ensure on-time delivery within cost and quality targets.
• Assist in project procurement and tendering processes.
• Lead/support commissioning and start-up of new plant; ensure readiness.
• Collaborate with functional leaders to integrate manufacturing activities with operations.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations, including contractor activities and progress.
• Supervise civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works to meet specs.
• Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders for smooth execution.
• Monitor timelines and milestones; address discrepancies or defects.
• Maintain records: progress reports, logs, inspections.
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations and contractual obligations.
