Job summary

SC Estate Builder Berhad is seeking a Civil Engineer / Project Engineer to manage construction works and development projects from planning to completion. You will monitor site progress, quality, safety and schedules, while coordinating with consultants, architects, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and authorities.

You will prepare professional proposals, reports and presentations, review drawings and technical documents, and travel locally and overseas as required to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Relevant experience in construction, property development or infrastructure projects.
• Able to independently manage and coordinate construction activities.
• Strong PowerPoint and presentation preparation skills are essential.
• Able to prepare professional, corporate‑style project proposals and presentation decks.
• Good command of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Project or other relevant software will be an advantage.
• Good communication, writing, coordination and problem‑solving skills.
• Able to work independently, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Must be willing to travel frequently, including outstation and overseas assignments when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate construction works and development projects from planning to completion.
• Monitor site progress, quality, workmanship, safety and project schedule.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and relevant authorities.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities and technical documents.
• Monitor project costs, claims, variation works and overall project progress.
• Attend site meetings, technical meetings and management meetings.
• Identify project issues and provide practical solutions to keep works on schedule.
• Prepare project progress reports, work programmes, schedules and management updates.
• Assist in planning and coordinating new development projects from concept, feasibility and approval stage through construction.
• Liaise with consultants and authorities on planning approvals and technical submissions.
• Prepare professional PowerPoint presentations, project proposals, feasibility presentations, development concepts and management papers.
• Convert technical, financial and project information into clear, attractive and easy‑to‑understand presentation slides.
• Prepare presentations for Management, clients, investors, banks, government agencies and potential business partners.
• Assist Management in project pitching, financing applications, tender submissions and business development.
• Conduct site visits and inspections at different project locations as required.
• Travel locally and overseas for project meetings, site inspections, coordination works and project assignments when required.
