Job summary

HYUP SOON INDUSTRIES SDN.BHD. in Malaysia is seeking a Civil Engineer with a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience to supervise construction sites.

You will coordinate projects, monitor progress, review drawings and specifications, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and statutory requirements. The role requires good communication and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in civil engineering / construction.
• Experience in construction site supervision, project coordination and civil works.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, materials and site practices.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage site activities with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Possess a valid driving licence and own transport.
• Willing to work at project site and travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor civil construction works at site.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and schedule.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate technical matters with consultants and clients.
• Prepare and review site documentation, reports, RFIs, method statements and other technical documents.
• Monitor project progress, quality and workmanship.
• Coordinate materials, manpower and equipment required for the project.
• Identify and resolve technical and site issues.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with relevant parties.
• Assist in project planning, costing, progress claims and other project-related matters.
• Ensure all works comply with safety, quality and statutory requirements.
• Perform other duties related to the project as assigned by Management.
