We are seeking an experienced and visionary CEO to lead our FX/CFD brokerage in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in the financial services industry, with deep expertise in driving business growth, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

A licensed Labuan Money Broker regulated by the Labuan Financial Services Authority (Labuan FSA) in Malaysia.

About the Role:

• We are seeking an accomplished Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the strategic direction, commercial growth and overall business performance of a Labuan-based money broking business specialising in FX/CFD trading services.
• This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commercially driven executive with a strong background in FX/CFD brokerage, financial services and business development. The successful candidate will be responsible fordriving revenue growth, expanding international client networks, establishing strategic partnerships and strengthening the Company’s market position, while ensuring robust corporate governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Working closely with the Board of Directors and senior management team, the CEO will play a pivotal role in building a sustainable, scalable and competitive brokerage business within the applicable Labuan regulatory framework.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

• Develop and execute the Company’s business strategy, annual business plans and growth initiatives.
• Identify new market opportunities, distribution channels and potential business expansion initiatives.
• Drive sustainable revenue growth, profitability and long-term business performance.

2. Commercial Development & Client Acquisition

• Lead business development, sales and client acquisition strategies across international markets.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with introducing brokers (IBs), affiliates, institutional clients and other distribution partners.
• Expand the Company’s commercial network and enhance its competitive positioning in the FX/CFD market.

3. Financial & Business Performance

• Oversee revenue generation, budgeting, financial forecasting, cost management and profitability.
• Establish business performance indicators and ensure effective resource allocation.
• Monitor commercial performance and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and financial results.

4. Strategic Partnerships & Brokerage Management

• Establish and maintain relationships with liquidity providers, principal brokers, banks, payment service providers, technology vendors and other key counterparties.
• Provide strategic oversight of the FX/CFD brokerage model, including trading arrangements, pricing, execution quality, liquidity and hedging arrangements, where applicable.
• Ensure the Company’s brokerage offering remains commercially competitive and operationally sustainable.

5. Regulatory Compliance, Governance & Risk Management

• Ensure business activities remain within the scope of the Company’s Labuan money broking licence and comply with applicable Labuan FSA requirements.
• Oversee corporate governance, AML/CFT obligations, regulatory reporting and record-keeping requirements.
• Maintain effective risk management practices covering counterparty, liquidity, operational, technology and business risks.
• Engage with regulators, auditors, professional advisers and other relevant stakeholders on material regulatory and governance matters.

6. Operations, Technology & Organisational Leadership

• Oversee brokerage operations, trading platforms, client onboarding, payment arrangements, technology infrastructure and business continuity.
• Lead the senior management team, establish departmental objectives and promote a culture of accountability and performance.
• Ensure effective coordination across commercial, operational and control functions.
• Provide regular business performance updates and strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors.

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in FX/CFD brokerage, foreign exchange, financial services or a related industry, with substantial senior management or business leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success in business development, revenue generation, client acquisition and commercial management.
• Strong understanding of FX/CFD brokerage business models, liquidity arrangements, trade execution processes and counterparty relationships.
• Established industry relationships with liquidity providers, principal brokers, introducing brokers, affiliates or institutional clients.
• Sound knowledge of financial management, operational risk, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with the Labuan International Business and Financial Centre (Labuan IBFC) regulatory framework and requirements applicable to money broking businesses.
• Proven leadership, strategic planning, negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive business growth in an international financial services environment.
