Job summary

Puncak AI is seeking a senior leader to drive AI strategy, governance and value creation. You will translate business needs into scalable AI solutions, oversee responsible AI practices, and manage lifecycle across GenAI, ML and AI Agents.

The role requires steering budgets, roadmaps and multi-year initiatives with boards and executives. You will build and mentor an agile AI team, foster enterprise-wide AI literacy, and manage vendor ecosystems while ensuring regulatory compliance and measurable

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience across technology, data, analytics, digital products or AI, including ≥5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven ability to define and execute an enterprise AI, data or digital transformation strategy and scale AI solutions.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning, generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, data architecture, cloud, MLOps, cybersecurity and lifecycle management.
• Experience establishing AI governance, managing model and data risks, and applying responsible AI, privacy, security and compliance practices.
• Experience prioritising AI use cases, developing investment cases, managing budgets and vendors, and measuring ROI.
• Experience building multidisciplinary teams and influencing Boards, executives, regulators, customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Establish and chair enterprise AI governance, defining decision rights, workflows, risk classification and incident response protocols.
• Embed responsible AI lifecycle, with fairness, transparency, privacy, safety, explainability and human-in-the-loop oversight.
• Ensure regulatory and security compliance with PDPA and emerging AI frameworks; oversee audits and third-party risk.
• Translate Board directives into actionable multi-year AI roadmaps and strategic mandates.
• Provide regular portfolio and ROI updates to the Board and executive committees.
• Own the enterprise AI budget, capital allocation and business case evaluations.
• Build, lead and mentor a high-performing AI team; drive enterprise-wide AI literacy and culture.
• Oversee vendor and ecosystem management, build-vs-buy decisions and negotiating terms.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to establish reusable platform standards and secure data pipelines.
• Partner with business units to scale pilots, transform processes and deliver measurable customer and revenue outcomes.
• Maintain unified enterprise architecture principles across technology, data, product and legal.
