Job summary

Lipidchem in Malaysia invites applications for a Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team in palm oil/food processing. You will oversee daily production targets, coordinate maintenance, and ensure GMP/HACCP compliance while driving data-driven improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Process/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of related experience, strong leadership, and the ability to work cross-functionally with QA, maintenance and HR.

Qualifications

• Degree in Process/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related fields, with at least 3 years’ experience in palm oil or food manufacturing.
• Repairs/Maintenance knowledge/skills is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO Quality Management System and Procedures.
• Leadership and ability to interact with all levels and exercise independent judgment.
• Ability to analyze production data.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a production team to meet daily targets.
• Train manpower and deploy for optimum productivity.
• Present daily production indices and coordinate process/equipment support.
• Ensure safety, discipline, housekeeping compliance.
• Ensure proper documentation and data integrity.
• Drive quality improvements and address quality issues.
• Plan and monitor movement of WIP for maximum throughput and minimize idle time.
• Resolve line-related issues and bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with QA, maintenance and HR to keep operations smooth.

Drive for quality improvement and account for the quality issues in the team

Plan, strategize and monitor the movement of the WIP for maximum throughput, minimum idle time and maintain line linearity.

Resolve line related issues and understand all equipment constraints/ capacity issues so as to be able to identify, handle and resolve bottleneck situations.

To work closely with quality assurance, maintenance and HR department on need basis to ensure operation always in smooth conditions
