Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site BO Chargeman (KV11/KV33) role based in Kuala Lumpur City. The BO Chargeman is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining high-voltage electrical installations (11kV/33kV) to ensure safe and reliable power supply. Daily tasks include performing routine inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical faults, and coordinating shutdowns and start-ups in line with regulatory and safety requirements. The role involves supervising contractors and maintenance personnel, maintaining accurate records and reports, and supporting facility operations and other building services as needed. The BO Chargeman collaborates with the facilities management team to minimize downtime and uphold compliance with relevant standards and authorities.

Qualifications

• Strong supervisory skills to oversee maintenance teams, contractors, and on-site activities safely and efficiently.


• Experience handling heavy equipment and electrical machinery associated with 11kV/33kV installations.


• Effective communication skills for coordinating with management, clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.


• Basic carpentry and general building maintenance skills to support broader facilities upkeep.


• Knowledge and hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and preventive maintenance for high-voltage systems.


• Valid BO Chargeman ST certification for KV11/KV33 from relevant Malaysian authorities.


• Familiarity with safety regulations, permit-to-work systems, and statutory requirements for electrical installations.


• Ability to be on standby during weekend or extended hours when required to support critical operations and emergency responses.


• Minimum a technical certificate or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field is an advantage.


• Previous experience in property or facilities management environments is beneficial.
