Job summary

About the Role:

We are seeking an organized, reliable, and hands‑on Chalet Operations Manager to oversee daily guest reception, room management, and site operations at Tawau Cocoa Village. The ideal candidate will take ownership of staff supervision, ensure high standards of guest satisfaction, and maintain smooth day‑to‑day operations in a unique eco‑tourism environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, schedule, and supervise daily tasks for housekeeping, maintenance, and front-desk/service staff.

Manage guest check-ins, check-outs, booking inquiries, and address guest feedback promptly and professionally.

Directly execute and carry out management directives, operational procedures, and resort policies efficiently.

Inspect rooms and facilities regularly, coordinate routine maintenance, manage inventory supplies (linens, toiletries, cleaning agents), and plan resource needs.

Reside on‑site to maintain operational oversight and handle emergency situations outside normal duty hours as required.

Requirements:

Minimum 3–4 years of operational experience in hospitality, hotels, resorts, chalets, or homestays.

Proven ability to manage non-executive staff, schedule shifts, and plan daily operational workflows.

Strong ability to carry out management plans and directives faithfully, while actively sharing practical ideas to improve daily operations.

Capable of guiding front‑line staff, maintaining high work standards, and ensuring daily operational compliance smoothly.

Willingness to reside on‑site at Tawau Cocoa Village (on-site manager accommodation provided).

Resourceful, calm under pressure, and capable of resolving guest issues or facilities emergencies independently.
