Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and seat them at appropriate tables in accordance with preferences and capacity.
• Present menus and provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding food and beverage offerings.
• Take accurate food and drink orders and attend to guest requests.
• Deliver orders to tables in a timely and professional manner, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Process payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash, card, and digital methods.
• Maintain a clean and organized till area and reconcile cash drawers at end of shifts.
• Clear and reset tables promptly between seatings and maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Address guest queries and concerns professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bartending staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Comply with health and safety regulations, food handling standards and company policies.
• Assist with general restaurant maintenance and setup as required.

About the role We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Cashier & Waiter to join our hospitality team at HERXING SDN BHD. This is a full-time position based in Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur. In this dual role, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional service to our guests whilst managing till operations and ensuring smooth transactions. This position is crucial to delivering an outstanding dining experience and maintaining the professional standards our guests expect.

Key responsibilities Greet guests warmly and seat them at appropriate tables in accordance with their preferences and restaurant capacity

Present menus and provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding food and beverage offerings

Take accurate food and drink orders whilst attending to guest requests and special requirements

Deliver orders to tables in a timely and professional manner, ensuring food quality and presentation standards are maintained

Process customer payments accurately using the point-of-sale system, handling cash, card and digital payment methods

Maintain a clean and organised till area, reconciling cash drawers at the end of shifts

Clear and reset tables promptly between seatings, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

Address guest queries and concerns professionally, resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction

Collaborate with kitchen and bartending staff to ensure efficient service delivery

Comply with health and safety regulations, food handling standards and company policies

Assist with general restaurant maintenance and setup as required

What we're looking for Previous experience in a waitressing, cashiering or hospitality customer service role is highly desirable

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously

Excellent numeracy and accuracy when handling cash transactions and till operations

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry items safely

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail

Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and table etiquette

Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

Basic computer literacy for point-of-sale systems

A valid identification document and work authorisation if applicable
