Job summary

FORTUNE VALLEY SDN. BHD. requires a skilled maintenance worker to handle carpentry tasks across the property. You will build, install, repair walls, partitions, doors, cabinets and wooden structures in line with the Engineering Team's guidance.

Responsibilities include fitting finishes, rough-in framing, minor repairs, ordering materials, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. You will report hazards and perform other duties as needed on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry and general maintenance tasks.
• Ability to read plans and follow engineering guidance.

Responsibilities

• Build/install/repair walls and partitions (dry wall, wallpaper, millwork, moulding, faux finishing).
• Install/repair finishes (laminates) as required.
• Perform rough-in framing for doors, frames, windows and cabinets.
• Repair and maintain wood structures (partitions, doors, furniture) across the property.
• Handle miscellaneous minor repairs (tightening loose toilet seats, changing bulbs, patching holes).
• Place orders for items through Engineering Office as needed.
• Comply with hotel policies, safety and security procedures; report hazards and injuries.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job description

Handle all carpentry works which includes maintaining, repairing, installing and/or constructing as required on the job with the Engineering Team. Works include but is not limited to the following:-
-Build/install/repair walls/partitions eg dry wall, wall paper, mill-work/moulding and faux finishing.
-Install/repair finishes eg laminates.
-Perform rough in framing for doors, frames, windows and cabinets.
-Repair, maintain, construct wood structures eg partitions, doors, furniture, and similar items throughout the property.
-Does miscellaneous minor repairs eg tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs and patching holes in walls.
Placing order for items through the Engineering Office for job requirements.
Comply with hotel policies as well as safety and security procedures. Report any maintenance problem, safety hazards, accidents/injuries.
Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
