Job summary

Forest City Hotel is seeking a maintenance assistant to support the engineering team in daily upkeep of facilities and equipment across hotel rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces.

You will assist with preventive maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, conduct routine inspections, perform basic troubleshooting, and report issues to supervisors. On-site role with free parking and meals provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team in daily maintenance work of hotel facilities and equipment
• Support preventive maintenance tasks for air-conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Carry out basic troubleshooting and report technical issues to supervisors
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities
• Assist in repairing minor defects such as lighting, sockets, and simple plumbing issues
• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and according to hotel standards
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities and equipment status
• Support the team in ensuring all engineering systems are operating efficiently
• Follow safety procedures and workplace regulations at all times
