Job summary

Private Advertiser in Masai, Johor, Malaysia is seeking a woodworker to measure, cut, shape and assemble solid wood according to drawings. You will manufacture tables, cabinets, chairs, shelves and other custom furniture, following precise specifications.

Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely, perform sanding and finishing prep, ensure quality standards, and repair or refurbish furniture when needed. Maintain a clean work area and minimize wastage.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble solid wood materials according to drawings or specifications.
• Manufacture wooden furniture such as tables, cabinets, chairs, shelves, and other custom products.
• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform sanding, fitting, drilling, and finishing preparation before painting or coating.
• Ensure all finished products meet the required quality standards and measurements.
• Repair, modify, or refurbish wooden furniture when required.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure tools and machinery are in good working condition.
• Minimize material wastage and use wood efficiently during production.
• Follow company safety procedures and workshop regulations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
