Jora Malaysia is seeking a cafe supervisor to oversee daily operations and lead front-of-house staff in Penang. You will ensure smooth service, maintain SOPs, and uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality guest experiences.

Supervise and manage the daily operations of the cafe/restaurant to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Lead, guide, and monitor front-of-house and service staff to maintain high performance and service standards.
Ensure all staff follow company SOPs, food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, portion control, and service standards.
Manage staff scheduling, attendance, shift allocation, and daily task assignments.
Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly.
Monitor inventory, stock levels, wastage, and assist with stock ordering when required.
Ensure the outlet is clean, organized, well-maintained, and properly prepared before and during operations.
Monitor daily sales, cash handling, POS transactions, and closing procedures.
Conduct staff briefings and provide on-the-job training to improve service and operational efficiency.
Coordinate with kitchen and management teams to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
Identify operational issues and take appropriate action to resolve them.
Prepare daily operational reports and provide feedback to management.
Support promotional activities, events, and other tasks assigned by management.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a cafe, restaurant, F&B, hospitality, or related industry.
Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader position is preferred.
Strong leadership and people-management skills.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Able to manage staff schedules, daily operations, and shift responsibilities.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and F&B operational procedures.
Basic knowledge of inventory management, stock control, and cash handling.
Able to handle customer complaints and operational issues professionally.
Proficient in basic computer applications and POS systems is an advantage.
Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
Responsible, proactive, reliable, and able to work independently.
Able to lead and motivate a team while maintaining a positive working environment.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are an advantage.
