Job summary

COMET TECHNOLOGIES MALAYSIA SDN. BHD.

seeks an experienced Operational Purchasing professional to manage end-to-end procurement, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven sourcing from requisition to payment. You will monitor supplier performance, material availability, and delivery schedules, collaborate with Engineering, Planning, and Production on NPI and changes, onboard suppliers, and maintain procurement master data to ensure policy and legal compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Operational Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain within manufacturing or technical environments.
• Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline; technical/mechanical knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong ERP experience (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills for reporting, forecasting, and data analysis.
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and resolve supply chain issues across cross-functional teams.
• Fluent English; German language proficiency is an added advantage.

Job description

Manage end-to-end purchasing activities, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven procurement from requisition to payment.

Monitor supplier performance, material availability, delivery schedules, and inventory replenishment to achieve high on-time delivery targets.

Partner with Engineering, Planning, Production, Quality, and Operations teams to support new product introductions (NPI), engineering changes, and plant setup activities.

Source, onboard, and develop suppliers in collaboration with global Commodity Management while supporting procurement operations across Malaysia and Switzerland.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, maintain procurement master data, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and legal requirements.

What You Will Bring

Minimum 5 years of experience in Operational Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain within a manufacturing or technical environment.

Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline; technical or mechanical knowledge is an advantage.

Strong ERP system experience (SAP preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting, forecasting, and data analysis.

Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers, resolve supply chain issues, and manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships.

Fluent English communication skills and the flexibility to collaborate across international teams and time zones. Proficiency in German language will be an added advantage.
