About the role
Join Bee Lian Plastic as a full-time Buyer based in Senai, Johor. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, components and services to support the company's manufacturing and logistics operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic objectives of a leading player in the manufacturing, transport and logistics industry.

What you'll be doing

Negotiate favourable pricing, lead times and terms with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and components

Manage the purchasing and inventory control processes to optimise stock levels and minimise wastage

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying new sources to expand the supplier base

Analyse market trends and conditions to make informed purchasing decisions

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and priorities

Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action as needed

Provide accurate and timely reporting on purchasing activities and inventory status

What we're looking for

Minimum 1-2 years of purchasing/procurement experience, ideally within the manufacturing or logistics industries

Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills to obtain the best possible deals from suppliers

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build effective working relationships

Proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement

Working hour:

Monday to Friday = 8:30am to 5:30pm

Alternate off on Saturday = 8:30am to 1pm
