Job summary

Jotun Paints (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced analytics professional to transform market data into actionable insights, shape growth strategies, and improve sales effectiveness. Based in Shah Alam, you will work with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to drive profitable outcomes.

You will monitor performance, conduct market intelligence, and support planning and forecasting while ensuring CRM data integrity and delivering dashboards for leadership reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial operations.
  • Experience in market mapping, territory planning, project tracking, or business development.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills to identify opportunities.
  • Proficient in CRM, MS Office, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide business insights and recommendations to drive profitable growth.

Job description

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

In this role, you will turn business and market data into actionable insights, identify growth opportunities, improve sales effectiveness, and drive smarter ways of working through digital and process transformation. Working across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations, you will play a key role in shaping business decisions and delivering sustainable, profitable growth. This role will be based in Shah Alam, Selangor and reporting to General Sales Manager, Decorative.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Decorative Sales team by providing business insights, performance analysis, and recommendations to drive profitable growth.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance against turnover, gross margin, and other key business indicators, highlighting opportunities and performance gaps.
  • Coordinate business planning, sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance review processes to support management decision-making.
  • Conduct market mapping, customer segmentation, competitor analysis, and market intelligence activities to identify growth opportunities and emerging market trends.
  • Support dealer development initiatives, account planning activities, and commercial programs to strengthen customer partnerships and business performance.
  • Ensure effective utilization of CRM systems, maintaining accurate customer, project, and opportunity data to support pipeline visibility and forecasting accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain sales dashboards, reports, and performance scorecards to support business reviews and operational excellence.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve, simplify, and automate business processes and reporting activities.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to ensure effective execution of business initiatives and strategic priorities.
  • Support strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance sales effectiveness and organizational performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Marketing, Sales, Economy, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, commercial operations, or a related role.
  • Experience in market mapping, territory planning, project tracking, and business development.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills with the ability to identify and evaluate business opportunities.
  • Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and business reporting tools.
