Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a data analytics professional to support the Regional Market Research team and collaborate with Business, Operations, Marketing, and Engineering to understand data requirements and deliver data-driven solutions for evolving markets.

The role focuses on building reports, dashboards, models, and analytics frameworks, while shaping data infrastructure and enabling scalable analytics for diverse projects across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, or other quantitative subjects.
• Experience in analytics, preferably in the e-commerce or internet industry.
• Advanced knowledge of analytical tools, such as SQL/Presto/Hive, visualization/reporting tools (Tableau/PowerBI/Holistics), and programming languages (Python/R).
• Strong ability to work with large and complex data sets.
• Familiarity with predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
• Experience implementing and optimizing ML models for real-world applications.
• Fast-learner, versatile, self-driven, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
• Excellent communication to translate analytics for all audiences.
• Full professional proficiency in English and local language.

Primarily support the Regional Market Research team, and work closely with various teams in - Business, Operations, Marketing but also Engineering, Product and other Data teams, to understand data requirements, identify and track key metrics, and provide data-driven solutions that are tailored and relevant to always-evolving innovation in our markets. The

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align analytics efforts with business goals.
• Conduct in-depth analyses to provide valuable insights based on business needs.
• Develop data-driven solutions such as reports, toolkits, dashboards, models, and analytical frameworks to support decision-making.
• Shape the development of our data infrastructure, including data warehousing, optimization, and maintenance of our analytics platforms.
• Support a broad range of projects related to automation, scalable measurement, and analytics efficiency.
• Provide support and training to stakeholder teams on analytical insights, tools, and methodologies.

The Must-Haves:

• Some experience in analytics, preferably in the e-commerce or internet industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, or other quantitative subjects.
• Advanced knowledge of analytical tools, such as database querying (SQL, Presto, Hive), visualization and reporting tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Holistics), and programming languages (Python, R).
• Strong ability to work with large and complex data sets.
• Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques, including but not limited to predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
• Experience in implementing and optimizing machine learning models for real-world applications.
• Fast-learner, versatile, self-driven, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
• Excellent communication skills to translate analytics specificities for all audiences.
• Full professional working proficiency in English [and in Local Language] is required.
