Job summary

Talentbank Group in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is seeking a Data Analyst to collect, analyse, and interpret data to support decision-making. You will design dashboards using Power BI and Excel, and communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.

The role requires at least 2 years’ experience, a degree in Statistics/Math/CS, and a strong eye for detail. You will collaborate with IT and other departments to drive data-driven growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a data analysis or related role.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g. SQL).
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Excel, Google Looker Studio or similar software.
• Strong understanding of database management and statistical analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of machine learning or predictive analytics is a plus.

The role of Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting complex data to support decision-making across the organisation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and skilled at using data visualisation tools to communicate insights effectively. This position plays a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable strategies, driving the company’s growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities (Included but not limited to)

• Data Collection & Management:
  • Gather data from various sources, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Organise and maintain databases, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Data Analysis & Interpretation:
  • Analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights to support business objectives.
  • Interpret data findings to create actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
• Reporting & Visualisation:
  • Develop clear, visually engaging dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI and Excel.
  • Present findings and insights to cross-functional teams, enabling data-driven decision-making.
• Cross-functional:
  • Working and collaborating closely with other departments and projects as needed to ensure all tasks are delivered efficiently and effectively, enhancing overall productivity and project success.
  • Partner with IT and data engineering teams to ensure seamless data integration and system optimisation.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Perform regular data audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data across systems.
  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Market & Performance Insights:
  • Analyse business and market trends to identify growth opportunities and risks.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements based on data insights.
• Data-Driven Business Solutions and System Development:
  • Propose business idea based on gathered data information
  • Assist in developing a database for mass data inputs to build a central analytics system / repairing tools.
