Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks a Sales and Marketing Manager to set the overall direction and strategic plans for local and international business, aiming to exceed annual revenue and student enrolment targets.

You will identify new growth opportunities across Malaysia and overseas markets, lead a Malaysia-based sales team, drive multi-channel campaigns, and recruit students through roadshows and events.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in sales and marketing in the education sector, preferably in a Private Education Institute.
• Proven track record in achieving or exceeding sales, revenue and student enrolment targets, with strong experience in student recruitment and business development.

Responsibilities

• Set the overall direction and strategic plans for the Local and International Business functions in Malaysia.
• Identify and develop new business and growth opportunities across Malaysia and overseas markets.
• Analyse market trends, competitor intelligence and performance benchmarks; formulate appropriate strategies, regularly review business plans and implement initiatives to drive business growth and competitiveness.
• Develop and execute sales strategies across digital platforms, campaigns and other sales channels to generate leads, increase market awareness and drive student enrolments.
• Lead, manage and develop the Malaysia-based local and international sales team, setting sales targets and KPIs and motivating the team to achieve business objectives.
• Spearhead student recruitment and sales activities, including roadshows, career fairs, course previews and other outreach initiatives to generate enquiries and convert prospects into enrolments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and overseas stakeholders, including in-country managers, education agents, institutions and strategic partners, to strengthen sales channels and develop new business opportunities.
• Lead and implement branding and cross-channel marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with sales, lead generation and student recruitment objectives.
• Work closely with Heads of Schools on budget planning, programme offerings and enrolment targets, while conducting business performance analysis and providing accurate monthly and quarterly reports to Senior Management.
• Drive continuous improvement in sales performance, market penetration and revenue growth through data-driven strategies, effective sales management and identification of new commercial opportunities.
