Job summary

Safeguards Group in Malaysia is seeking a Manager, Business Development (Special Project) to drive growth initiatives and manage strategic client relationships.

The role requires 2-5 years in BD or sales, strong communication and negotiation skills, and willingness to travel and work on weekends or public holidays. You will develop markets, prepare proposals, and lead a growing sales pipeline while reporting progress to management.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
• Willing to travel and able to work on weekend or public holiday.

Responsibilities

• Contact potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
• Increase value of current customers and attract new ones.
• Find and develop new markets and improve sales.
• Identify new business opportunities including markets, growth areas and services.
• Develop quotes and proposals for clients.
• Set goals and strategy for business growth focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and actively manage own sales pipeline.
• Hit or over-achieve monthly revenue targets against budget.
• Report and communicate progress to management with successes and improvements.
• Maintain up-to-date product and competitor knowledge to stay competitive.
• Act as a credible ambassador when speaking to potential customers.
• Understand customer needs and respond with effective plans.
• Promote the company and services to drive lateral sales and positive image.
• Follow industry trends locally and internationally.
• Attend to any other tasks assigned by management.
