Job summary

Armstrong Auto Parts Sdn Bhd is seeking a Business Development Executive (Cost Strategy) to drive project quotations, cost analysis, and supplier negotiations. You will gather critical product data, review target prices, and manage tooling and supplier costs, ensuring timely development and audits.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, Bahasa Melayu and English proficiency, and a driving licence.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• Min 3 years experience in Automotive Sales; fresh graduates considered.
• Proficient in Bahasa Melayu and English.
• Possess a valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit project quotations within deadlines.
• Gather info from kick-off meetings (product details, BOM, volumes, costs, timelines).
• Prepare cost up/down quotations and analyse design change impacts.
• Review customer target prices and propose cost-reduction ideas.
• Track forex changes, calculate impacts, and submit claims.
• Maintain product data in customer systems (SAP).
• Prepare PPCA for supplier cost-up requests.
• Manage tooling/mold repair and new tooling enquiries.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and select suppliers for quality, cost, and delivery.
• Conduct supplier audits and ensure QCD compliance.
• Manage supplier contracts and pricing; issue RFQs and review quotes.
• Verify part quality before mass production; ensure timely development.
• Register materials and pricing in SAP; consolidate suppliers to reduce cost.
• Support additional tasks assigned by management; participate in ISO and customer audits.

Business Development Executive (Cost Strategy)

Prepare and submit project quotations within specific deadlines.

Gather required info from kick-off meetings (product details, BOM, PBL, volumes, costs, supplier quotes, timelines).

Prepare cost up/down quotations and analyse design change impacts.

Review customer target prices and propose cost-reduction ideas.

Track forex changes, calculate impacts, and submit claims.

Maintain product data in customer systems.

C) Sourcing

Conduct supplier audits and ensure compliance with QCD standards.

Manage supplier contracts and pricing.

Issue RFQs, review quotes, and ensure timely part development.

Verify part quality before mass production.

Register materials and pricing in SAP.

Consolidate and resource suppliers to reduce cost.

D) Others

Support additional tasks assigned by management.

Participate in internal, external, ISO, and customer audits.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

Academic Qualifications – Diploma, Degree, and above in Business Administration, Marketing

Min 3 years experience in Automotive Sales, Fresh Graduate

Key Skills/Knowledge – Product Knowledge, Analysis and Communication Skills, Self-initiative, managing soft skills

Preference Language: Bahasa Melayu, English

Possess a valid driving license
