Armstrong Auto Parts Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks an experienced Accountant to manage full sets of accounts including GL, AP, AR, inventory and fixed assets. You will handle monthly and year-end closings, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in line with company requirements.
The role involves assisting in management reports, budgets, and financial statements, liaising with auditors and tax agents, and supporting ad-hoc analyses and process improvements.
Responsible for maintaining full sets of accounts, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Inventory, and Fixed Assets.
Perform monthly and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with company requirements.
Assist in the preparation of management reports, budgets, financial statements, and other financial analysis reports.
Liaise with external auditors and tax agents by providing necessary information and supporting documents for annual audits and tax submissions.
Prepare and submit quarterly reports to Corporate Office, including but not limited to;- Quarterly Management Reports, Sustainability Reports, Related Party Transaction Reports, Other ad-hoc reports as required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records.
Monitor and ensure proper accounting treatment, documentation, and internal control compliance.
Support internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules, reports, and required financial documentation.
Assist Senior Manager / Group Accountant in group reporting requirements, financial analysis, process improvements, and other ad-hoc assignments.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification.
Partial or full professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a large-scale manufacturing environment.
Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and statutory requirements.
