Job summary

EY Malaysia is seeking a delivery and test management professional to support a system implementation program, collaborating with business and IT to manage requirements, design activities and change requests.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and hands-on experience in UAT, requirements traceability, and insurance domain knowledge in life insurance or takaful.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Life Insurance and/or Takaful transformation projects.
• Strong functional knowledge in New Business, Underwriting, Claims, Medical, and Policy Administration.
• Proven experience leading requirements gathering workshops, business process analysis, gap assessments, and solution design discussions between Business and IT.
• Hands-on experience managing UAT planning, test execution, defect triage, change requests, and requirements traceability.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage senior business leaders, project teams, and technology teams.
• Experience delivering or leading insurance core system implementation/transformation programs.
• Consulting background with Insurance client/project delivery role will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end functional requirements lifecycle and test management, working closely with Business and IT.
• Facilitate business requirement gathering workshops and design alignment/prioritization between business and IT.
• Identify requirement and design gap, facilitate discussion to close gaps.
• Support test planning and preparation of test scenarios, scripts, and data, enabling plan alignment.
• Manage day-to-day UAT execution, including clearing test dependencies and defect triage.
• Support Change Control Committee discussions and drive structured assessment of proposed changes.
• Monitor delivery progress and prepare progress updates.

This role is responsible for supporting the functional delivery and test management of a system implementation program, working closely with business and project stakeholders to manage business requirements, support solution design activities and facilitate change requests.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to requirements management and test execution.

Candidates should possess a good understanding of insurance operations, preferably in areas such as new business, underwriting, claims and medical. They should have experience in requirements gathering, and test planning and preparation (e.g. workshops preparation, requirements documentation, requirements traceability, impact assessment, and testing triage coordination)

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Support the end-to-end functional requirements lifecycle and test management, working closely with Business and IT.
• Facilitate business requirement gathering workshops and design alignment/ prioritization. between business and IT, with the ability to bridge the conversation (e.g. requirement context, business process etc.) between them.
• Identify requirement and design gap, facilitate discussion to close gaps.
• Support test planning and preparation of test scenarios, scripts, and data, facilitating the necessary discussion between business and IT to drive plan alignment.
• Manage day-to-day UAT execution, including clearing test dependencies/ impediments and facilitate defect triage to drive defect resolution.
• Support Change Control Committee discussions and drive structured assessment of proposed changes.
• Monitor delivery progress and prepare progress updates.

Required Qualifications:
